Can't Stop the Disco

"Can't Stop the Disco" (stylized as Can't Stop the DISCO) is a song by Japanese recording artist Ami Suzuki from her tenth studio album ''Supreme Show'' (2008). It was released as the album's second single on September 24, 2008 by Avex Trax. "Can't Stop the Disco" was written, produced, composed and arranged by Japanese musician and Capsule member Yasutaka Nakata; It is her third single to be handled by Nakata following from "Free Free/Super Music Maker" (2007) and "One" (2008). Musically, "Can't Stop the Disco" is a dance-pop song.
"Can't Stop the Disco" received positive reviews from very limited music critics, who commended the composition. It achieved minor commercial success in Japan, with a peak position of seventeen on the Japanese Oricon Singles Chart and sold over six thousand units; this is her final single to reach over the five thousand sales limit. A music video was shot in Japan, and featured Suzuki in colourful dresses and clothes in front of bright futuristic backdrops.

"Can't Stop the Disco" was written, produced, composed and arranged by Japanese musician and Capsule member Yasutaka Nakata; It is her third single to be handled by Nakata following from her August 2007 single "Free Free/Super Music Maker" and June 2008 single "One" (2008). The song was recorded in mid-2008 by Nakata at Avex Studio, Tokyo, Japan and was co-distributed by Nakata's label Contemode, owned by Avex and Yamaha in Japan.〔(【引用サイトリンク】title=Coltemonikha ) (States Avex Trax as distributor)〕 A dance-pop and technopop-influenced song,〔 the lyrical content is divided into both English and Japanese language; the verses are sung in Japanese with English echoed lyrics "Feel my heart yeh" and "love tactics", while the chorus is recorded in English.〔
"Can't Stop the Disco" was released in three formats; a stand-alone CD single, a CD and DVD bundle, and a digital download.〔 The CD and digital release contains a remix of her previous single "Super Music Maker" and the b-side "Climb to the Top"; the latter is her first full English language recording.〔 The DVD features a music video of the single, and is registered under NTSC Region 2.〔
